Today we are here to talk about another addictive iOS and Android game called Subway Surfers. This game is brought to life by Denmark based gaming company(s) called Kiloo Games and Sybo games. This game draws inspiration from the most famous and widely played smartphone game Temple run. There is no much difference in this game, All you do is to Dash and escape from the police officer who is chasing you and collect as many gold coins, Dodge the incomig trains, duck and jump through the hurdles. You can redeem the coins to unlock more characters and buy upgrades.
Subway Surfers comes to you for free and is available in both Play store and App store for download. If you are an iPhone user, you can login to the game center and see who else in your friend’s list is playing this game and compare your scores with them. Additionally, Subway Surfers gives you an option to login to your facebook and brag your friends about your high score. It also shows friends who are playing Subway surfers and their scores.
The game is very colourful with beautiful graphics. It has multiple characters and the default character is Jake. You can unlock more characters as and when you collect more coins and redeem them. You also get to buy upgrades like Jetpacks, magnets to collect more coins and super sneakers to jump longer distances. When it comes to addiction, its unavoidable. You slowly start getting addicted to it and when you see your friends scoring better, the urge to beat them creeps in and thats when the real fun starts.
The game has a halloween version available as an update with Jake’s halloween character available for a limited period.
The Game is well designed to perform in a Single core processor phones. Ran it (still running it) on iPhone 4, Google Galaxy Nexus and on Asus Transformer TF101 tablet and it works like charm on all the 3 devices. There is no difference in performance apart from the Initial Game loading time, which is longer in Single core phones.
This game and Rail Rush from Miniclip have the exact same theme. All these games draw inspiration from Temple Run. Any game that keeps you on your toes is always addictive, The addiction is when there is a leaderboard.
